Registering for College Accommodation

New students will need to register online for College accommodation by Friday 30 August. To do this, please visit: https://apply.jesus.ox.ac.uk/. Registering for College accommodation is a two-step process. You will need to follow the instructions provided below.

Please note, you will be prompted to enter your family name (surname), your date of birth and your Account ID. Your Account ID will have been included in your welcome pack email sent by the Admissions Officer. It should be a mixture of letters and number (e.g. BLOG001).

Click on the ‘Create Account’ section here. You will be asked to enter your Account ID (see above), your date of birth and your surname.

You will be asked to enter your Account ID (see above), your date of birth, and your surname.

You will then be prompted to set up an account.

Once you have done this please check your email as you will need to confirm your account (this is done by clicking the link included within the email).

You will then be directed to another web page to do a final confirmation of details. Once this has been done, please follow the screen prompts to carry on with the application.

 

1. Enter the login details in the ‘Login’ section here with the login details you have just set up to when setting up your account.

Then click on the ‘apply’ button.
3.

You will then be asked to confirm your details and have a screen to enter any preferences.
4.

On the following screen you will be prompted to confirm the application details and then you are finished!

 

 

Once you have completed Steps 1 and 2, the Accommodation Office will be able to proceed with the room allocation process. You will then receive an accommodation offer via email. This is likely to be in mid-September, which is the cut-off date for all offers to be confirmed.

Please note that due to limited space, you will only be made one offer of accommodation. Once your room has been assigned to you, we will contact you by email and ask you to finalise the accommodation process by doing the following:

 
1.

‘Accept’ your room via the College website. By doing so, you are signing the accommodation contract online.
2.

Completing the mandatory online induction.

 

*Please note that this process (online room acceptance/signature and induction) is a compulsory legal requirement and your check-in may be denied unless these steps have been completed.

 

 

If you have not received an accommodation offer by Friday 13 September, please send an email to the Accommodation Office (accommodation.office@jesus.ox.ac.uk) and ensure that you put ‘UG Fresher Accommodation’ in the subject line.

Your room will be located on a College staircase (on the main site) or in the Ship Street Centre, which is just opposite the College. All rooms cost the same. Regardless of where you live, all Jesus College students may take their meals in the College Hall, with the cost being charged via your University card to your termly College bill (known as ‘battels’). 

If you have any individual needs which may impact upon the type of accommodation you require, please let us know as soon as possible and ensure that you indicate this within your online registration. Once accommodation has been allocated, it is difficult for us to make retrospective changes.
