Vacation Grants

Undergraduate members of College may apply for Vacation Grants to assist with the costs of their remaining in Oxford to pursue their academic work and/or take university exams in the forthcoming vacation. Each eligible student may apply for up to 17 nights' Vacation Grant in any one financial year (which runs from 1 August to 31 July). Each subject has an allocation of nights directly proportional to the number of its students, and it may be that the allocation will be exhausted if each student in the subject wishes to claim for 17 nights. Cases of exceptional need will still be able to be dealt with even if the subject allocation has been exhausted.

Eligibility

• Each eligible student may apply for up to 17 nights' Vacation Grant in any one financial year (which runs from 1 August to 31 July). 
• Periods of less than 3 consecutive nights are not eligible for Vacation Grants.
• Claims for examinations can only be made up to the night before the last exam.
• All 2nd BM students are eligible to apply.

Note: Finalist can only make claims up until the 31st of July .

Value

• £29.76 per full day for 2024-2025 (from 1 August 2024 to 31 July 2025)
• £30.50 per full day for 2025-2026 (from 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2026)

How To Claim

To claim the grant, students must complete the Online Claim Form. Link will be sent out in 8th week each term. The Claim Form must be submitted by noon on Monday of -2 week (22nd September 2025).

CLAIM FORMS SUBMITTED AFTER THE DEADLINE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Battels credits for authorised claims are issued early in Michaelmas Term.
